** CUBA. 7355, April 12 at 0655, three distinct styles of jamming against nothing, probably from at least three different sites, against no Marti: ``normal`` pulsejamming rate; slow PJ; and a different sound hard to describe (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 5010, April 12 at 0658, S9/+10 leapfrog mixing product of 5040 RHC English over 5025 Rebelde Spanish another 15 kHz beyond. Just as English is promising a second hour to follow. On 5010 their modulation levels are about equal, while the reverse leap on 5055 is but a JBA carrier. Last time I logged these, most of the mix was on 5055 not 5010. What changed? At 0701, 5040 defaults to dead air, but the carrier remaining means the 5010 leap continues, but only with 5025 audio. Any such 5010 mix allowed could be a big problem for WRMI during its hours: 2100-0300 at 181 degrees. But I have yet to capture such a collision. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** MALDIVES [non]. 11620, April 12 at 1520, I`m checking Voice of Martyrs Korea, still in English for Maldives via secret site at 1500-1530. First into one of the Kuwait SDRs: S9+10 and offset about 1 Hz plus, but with heavy AACI from S9+35, 11600 in American English, which of course is CGTN Radio/CRI via Kashgar, East Turkistan, std denunciation. At 1526, Missouri SDR finds 11620 S5/S7 and +3/5 Hz. 1528 at Kuwait, S9+10/20. At 1530 there is only a split-second break before Vatican in Arabic takes over: extremely well-coordinated transition. After 1530 into Missouri, VR signal is somewhat weaker S4/S6 and carrier offset +5/6 Hz; implying that probably two different sites are involved (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 341 MCW kHz, April 12 at 0705 UT, both EI Enid and OIN Oberlin KS are JBA ND beacons alternating (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** RUSSIA [non]. 13600, April 12 at 1537, S9+10/20 in Russian, a new target broadcast, good signal into Kuwait SDR; 1550 drops to dead air but carrier stays on until 1559*. But who is behind this? Tnx to tips in British DX Club: ``New high power broadcasts listed on C292 schedule from today Hi All, The Channel 292 schedule is now showing that the 'Prawda dlja Rossi' broadcasts will also take place with a 100 kW transmission from 1500 to 1600 utc on 13600.0 kHz on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until at least the middle of May. These are only shown on the 9670 kHz schedule page, and listed as beaming east, but I don't think C292 have a 100 kW transmitter, so maybe Moosbrunn, but I can't confirm that, perhaps someone knows for sure? https://www.channel292.de/schedule-9670-khz/ The first of these higher powered broadcasts is today (12th of April). The signal is coming in very well here, and a good choice of frequency as CRI had their Russian service on there before it, so hopefully a ready made audience in the target area. DARC on Facebook says this about the station: "Uncensored radio for Russia --- New short wave program for Russia, Belarus and Ukraine Under the name "Radio Prawda dlja Rossii" started on the 09th April 2022 a new radio program specially for Russia. The targets of the broadcast are serious and uncensored reporting as well as unfiltered news for the Russian population. Due to the increasing state censorship and administrative restrictions on the Internet as well as the satellite broadcasts in reporting about Russia, this program will be broadcasted again on short-term. It is available nationwide throughout Eastern Europe and Siberia. This program was founded by engineers and journalists in collaboration with radio stations, which in part come from Russia and Ukraine. The journalists already have years of experience in renowned public broadcasting agencies. That's about. The 40-minute program in the journal format is produced voluntarily in the spare time and is funded entirely from private donations. Although the first test broadcasts were only aired with low broadcast performance and were little known so far, the editorial office received a large number of feedback from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. The desire was expressed to continue the broadcasts and please repeat it several times. The radio station considers this as a clear signal for the need for such uncensored news." 73, Alan Pennington`` Back to gh monitoring: at 1900 UT Tue April 12 via UTwente, 6070 is VG S9+20 opening in Russian, Ol`ga first with novosti, 1902 over to Yulya.
