TEXAS RADIO SHORTWAVE ANNOUNCES CHRISTMAS DAY (DECEMBER 26 UTC) PROGRAMS ON WRMI
Wednesday, December 22 2021

bclnews

WRMI will rebroadcast a special Rock-It Radio Christmas program at 0100 UTC and an encore of TRSW’s Texas Christmas program from 2019 at 0200 UTC, both on 5950 kHz.

Rocket-It Radio aired professional-quality music programs on the Internet from 1995 until 2020.  It specialized in 1950s & 60s Rock & Roll, Rockabilly, Doo Wop, and Rhythm and Blues.  TRSW has permission to rebroadcast the Rockabilly & Blues Christmas program at 0100 UTC with songs by The Mavericks, Billy Burnette, and Anna Marie Lewis.

An encore of the Texas Christmas program follows at 0200 with music by Flyleaf, the Spur 327 band, and Freedy King.

This Christmas season, TRSW wants to make it easier for listeners to receive eQSLs.  To that end, it’s relaxing reporting requirements and won’t require that reports contain comments on the programs.  Reports will still need times and titles of songs, times of station IDs and announcements, and an SIO or SINPO rating.  They should also include the listener’s receiver and antenna.

Reports should be sent to texasradiosw@gmail.com.
