Glenn Hauser logs November 13-14, 2021
Sunday, November 14 2021

Hauser
** BOTSWANA. 9775, Nov 14 at 0252, S9-S6 of open carrier. Must be VOA
warming up for scheduled 0300-0500 English (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9900-, Nov 13 at 2125, R. Cairo, S9+30 into UTwente but dead
air except for some hum and possible traces of English modulation. AM
Synch mode says ``not locked`` in red, yet reads out carrier at
9899.687; still the same at 2213. And similar results by other
monitors (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 17800+, Nov 14 at 1517, Minitransat special still going 2
days after original finish, météo in French by OM, then YL in French
with rankings deuxième, troisième, etc., etc.

17800-DRM, Nov 14 at 1722, YL again with lo-fi 8.08 kbps rankings in
French, mixing in numbers in English, via Maryland SDR, SNR 21 dB,
S9+5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2112 monitoring: confirmed Saturday
November 13 at 2030 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, S9+10 into nearby SDR,
already 25 minutes into so started way early circa 2005.

Also confirmed UT Sunday Nov 14 at 0030 on WRMI 5950, S9+25 into
Knoxville SDR at one-hour-later time; also on separate System still at
0030 UT Sun Nov 14 on WRMI 7730, VG direct.

Also confirmed UT Sun Nov 14 finally at 0505 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO,
S9+12 into nearby SDR, about 17 minutes into so started late circa
0448. So there is no correlation between the two airings as to
earliness/lateness. It all depends on variable-length ham shows in
between.

ZZZ thru 1330 UT Sunday Nov 14 for WOR via WMRI Europe via Channel
292, Germany on 9670. Did anyone hear it? Next:

2100 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 to NNW
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW
0130 UT Monday WRMI 9395 to NNW
0230 UT Monday WRN webcast
0400vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [jammed?][unconfirmed]
1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW, 5010 to S

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary
support. Thanks this week to Steve Zimmerman, Milwaukee WI for a
generous check on a US bank to Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK

One may also contribute PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5950, UT Sun Nov 14 at 0100, WRMI with Texas Radio Shortwave
carrying Europirate R. Jingle Bells, as we *just can`t wait* for
Xmasmx. Was erroneously publicized for one hour earlier, which would
have pre-empted `Wavescan` & WOR but they/we were still on. Another
TRSW hour from 0200, Thanksgiving-themed. Too bad there is such a
pileup of music shows at same 01 hour Saturday evenings, e.g. `TOUTA`
on WTWW, `Encore` on WRMI 5850 & 7780, and `Mighty KBC` on Nauen.
Supposedly also prime time for pirates but I don`t hear any in one
quick scan of the 4+, 5+ and 7- MHz piratareas (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 5085, UT Sun Nov 14 at 0053, WTWW-2 starting `Theatre Organ
Under The Arch`, so I switch immediately to $ tereo webcast. Another
tribute to George Wright ``the greatest theater organist``. Or is it
a repeat? Bob Heil says he has been working on this for some time,
including early recordings of GW`s performances and voice. This one
lasts 59 minutes until 0152 jarringly back into hard-sell Tedads and
hamstuff (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5050, Nov 14 at 0056, WWRB weekend-only gospel huxters are
still on 59m, another week into B21 season when 93m would be expected;
and 0239 still going at S9+45 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 7520, Nov 14 at 0249, VP S5-S3 hymn, // TOMBS on 7570, 7730
etc. 7520 is WWCR-4 now at 00-03. This transmitter on 5890/9980/7520
is 24/7 TOMBS except for Tue-Sat 03-05 other gospel huxters (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9975, Nov 14 at 0253, KVOH with jazz at S9/+30. New sked
http://www.voiceofhope.com/schedule/kvoh_program_grid.pdf
shows Pat Conrad`s `Jazz Session` gets only this one hour per week, UT
Sun 0200-0300; followed by 0300 `Wavescan` which also airs UT Tue.
Total 9975 span is 02-07 except UT Mon (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1130, Nov 14 at 1757 UT, still S9+20 of dead air from KLEY,
Wellington KS. 250 watts, left on 24 hours despite night license for
ONE WATT -- a joke in itself. Last time I checked was Oct 29, no doubt
silent since and before. If they are keeping their 100.3 translator
which I can`t hear, modulated as ``The Wave``, why is it too much
trouble to mod the original AM, no one cares? BTW, I notice that MW
club editors keeping up with station news have ignored my continuing
reports about this strange situation (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 1924 UT November 14
