** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Nov 3 at 1531 tune-in via Brasil SDR, LRA36 is on this Wednesday S5-S6, but signing-off, ``todo por hoy`` until next miércoles, then complete Antártida song about Base Esperanza et al. Of course, 1535 continues immediately with more rock music until really chopped off air at 1550*, including the reduced carrier. The playbacks on Saturdays have been absent a few weeks, but you never know without checking (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 6230, Nov 3 at 0557, RHC English JBA on leapfrog mixing product of 6100 over 6165 another 65 kHz beyond. 6165 is S9+30, 6100 S9+20/30. 6060 also on with humbuzz at S9+30, but no `frog audible on 6140, nor any other combos. 6000 still on at S9+40. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA [and non]. 6030, Nov 3 at 0600, just caught R. Martí before quitting on extended schedule, temporarily? They also did this last year. Heavy jamming of course continues, just in case, blocking any CFVP (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 7157 & 7215, Nov 3 at 0602, centres of lite pulse jamming still going after weeks. The incompetent DentroCuban Jamming Command apparently once found some objexionable exile hams there and remains unrelenting, as if hams could not QSY anywhere. What would CO2KK say? Isn`t IARU raising a ruckus about this? Now also PJ against nothing on 7335, 7365, 7435; and 7355 strongest mixed with a tone, all R. Martí frequencies used only at earlier hours (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 13638 & 13762, Nov 3 at 1453, weak spurblobs out of RHC 13700 which is S9+10 undermodulated and with F# tone, plus and minus ~62 kHz. Something`s always wrong at RHC. 1513 recheck, all gone (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** FRANCE. 17795-17800-17805 DRM, Nov 3 at 1712, TDF with marine weather for MiniTransAt yacht race, S9 via Maryland SDR, mostly solid, but lo-fi at usual 8.08 kbps, SNR 20, DRM mode B, Chan 10 kHz displayed, humale voice in French, 1713 switch to huwoman voice in French-accented English, 1728 back to male in French but mixes in some numbers in English; 1732 YL in French but also some English numbers; not weather now but ordinally up to 50th, presumably race rankings. 1741 seems to be concluding bilingually; 1742 little bits of music, amid dropouts, a different tune fragment each time, now down to S8-S7, SNR to 15. 1750 quits modulating but still on air at S6, off by 1758 check. This 17-18 transmission on 17800 is on the displayed DRM schedule roster under Télédiffusion de France. But beware, still also shows Radio Martí on 7345 DRM despite its disappearance months ago. Chris Mackerell, NZ, asks, ``Were you able to decode the data part of the transmission? Previously the DRMcast contained a data stream of images and weather maps in the same stream as the audio. The audio was always decodable, but the pictures weren't. I haven't been able to check myself yet, so am curious. Maybe they're just audio this time. 73 Chris`` Neither then nor today was I aware of any images. Maybe I don`t know where to look for them beyond the conventional Kiwi DRM display. Glenn (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SPAIN [and non]. 11670, Nov 3 at 2310, only RHC Spanish to be heard, // 9535 music. If REE be on there, it`s totally covered; and no signal on alt. 11685 during token English semihour Wed, VG on 9690, VP on 11940 & 12030. All checked via Maryland remote (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non].
