week's Programme - First broadcast this coming Saturday by
Channel 292 - begins with two modern
piano pieces, Reverie by J P Sousa, and Ripples in a Water Scene
composed and played by Lubomyr M
After
that we'll hear the DAnce of the Herdmaiden from The Mountain
King Suite by Hugo Alfen.
Following
on - another reverie - this time by Debussy, part of a septet
from Beethoven, and an elegy by Henry Purcell - which was played
at his own funeral.
The
programme finishes with 'First Flight' by
contemporary composer Cecilia McDowall.
Channel 292 can be pulled live off the internet if
the reception is poor in your location. Easy to find their site
with a google search.
