** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, Sat Aug 14 at 1422, 1453, no signal from LRA36 into Brasil or Uruguay SDRs. Then we see this at 1327 to the WOR iog: ``Manuel Méndez --- Hi Glenn, the LRA 36 staff has posted, an hour ago, a new jpg whatsapp note announcing there will not be program today Saturday due to the same reasons as last Wednesday. Best 73,s`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** BRAZIL. 4975, Aug 14 at 0547, JBA carrier still detectable at night, previously traced to Brasil with obligatory government hour, A Voz do Brasil at 2200; but nothing further heard about it such as an ID for one of the three ex-4975s known (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CHINA. 13130, Aug 14 at 1354 CNR1 jammer with Chinese; only othrs around, JBA carriers on 13160, 12500 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NETHERLANDS [non]. 7780 // 5800, UT Sat Aug 14 at 0200-0259, again this week via both WRMI frequencies, the Texas Radio SW relay of Europirate, Free Radio Service Holland. Frenetic DJ during the hour, recounting history of station with constant music mostly in background rather than complete tunes; heavily produced IDs, liners. Altho could hear direct, both frequencies noisy so listening via Maryland remote to 7780. This week it`s as weak as usual on the NE antenna rather than seeming NW last week for Cupid Radio. 0207 FRSH ID, MoodyBlues; started Aug 31, 1980 with 10 watts on 6250; 0209 fragments of Deep Purple, Smoke in the Water; 0215 about raids in 1983. 0218 specific ID for this on WRMI 5800 [only: they don`t know about 7780 either]. Covering 4 decades of history; QSL from FRS@FRSHolland.nl or a P O Box in Herten; or see website http://frsholland.nl where 9 different QSLs are available? Many many are illustrated over the years, apparently including incoming ones from listeners. 0221 announcement in German, one of FRSH` three languages. 0228 Chris Watson mentioned; tribute to someone who is late, Joop? something. 0238 WRMI 5800 ID, contact info again. 0243 says they produce 4 to 6 broadcasts per year. 0259 switch to YROT theme of TRSW, Zanotti ID. BTW, I reminded the WOR iog of this FRSH broadcast at 0129, and during this week`s WOR 2099 which also aired just before it at 0130 on 9395 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2099 monitoring: confirmed UT Sat Aug 14 at 0130 on WRMI 9395, VG S9+20 to Maryland SDR; S8-S9 direct. Also confirmed on IRRS Shortwave: Sat Aug 14 on 918 kHz, AM Italia, via Noale remote, tune-in 1754 is playing AWR Wavescan! But not on schedule, evidently random filler, Ray Robinson reading story about K/KOB Albuquerque, 1757 on to ``second story`` about WGN Chicago. WS should be wrapping up by now if started at 1730; yes, at 1758 chopped off incomplete for cut to Triumphal March from Aïda theme. I`m simulmonitoring 7290 via UTwente, first weak Chinese and warble on the USB, until strong signal cuts on a minute after 918, with the rest of Aïda; both with brief sign-on about 4 seconds apart like WOR which starts about 1800.7 --- monitored complete on both until 1829.7; unlike last week when 7290 did not come on until about halfway over. Next: 1930vUT Saturday WA0RCR 1860-AM 0030 UT Sunday WRMI 5950 [NEW; to be confirmed] 0300vUT Sunday WA0RCR 1860-AM [nominal 0315; as late as 0400] 2000 UT Sunday IRRS 918-Italy 2230 UT Sunday WRMI 9955 [jammed?] to SSE 0030 UT Monday WRMI 7730 to WNW 0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE, 5800 to SSE 0300vUT Monday WBCQ 6160v Area 51 to WSW [ex 2200 Sun] 1030 UT Wednesday WRMI 5850 to NW 2100 UT Wednesday WRMI 7780 to NE 2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW 0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S Full schedule including AM, FM, webcasts, satellite, podcasts: http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support; via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to woradio at yahoo.com One may also contribute by MO or check in US funds on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7730, Aug 14 at 0542, another WRMI missing, #13 which is scheduled for 0000-1100, all Overkiller except two System D hours at 00 and 08. Also still gone, #5 from 9455 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1090, Aug 14 at 0555 UT, big dead air which must be the dominant KAAY AR, so I turn up volume to DX any understations: mainly sports talk, Dan Patrick show; 0600 partial ID as 107.7, and HD2, sounds like WACE? 0606 still DA with medium SAH vs sports talk. Uplooked later in the 2020 NRC AM Log, the 1090 sportster with a 107.7 FM is 5000-watt ND *daytimer* WAQE, Rice Lake, Wisconsin. It`s on the Fox SR network and so is Dan Patrick (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1130, Aug 14, 2021 at 0600 UT, KWKH sports talk has musiQRM atop, not Spanish as I was hoping to ID that previous mystery. Then ID for ``KLEY 1130 and 100.3 FM Wellington``. This KS station has been silent for months but now it`s back; also VG S9+20 alone at 1352 with ``I Love Rock `n` Roll`` and at 1750 talk. It`s 250 watt day, ONE WATT at night, yeah, sure, U4, which means different direxional patterns day and night. On daytime groundwave it was and is again a semi-local at 63 miles from the site S of Wellington we have often passed on US 81. I had last barely detected it, 1 watt? Aug 23, 2020 at 2132 UT. Obviously it`s on today to avoid losing license and likely to go silent again ASAP. From this far I can`t tell whether the 100.3 translator, K262CQ, has always stayed operational. Part of the corporate mess at Rocking M Media. Obviously there is no technical reason not to stay on AM air. On Dec 5, 2020 I had reported: 1130 KLEY Wellington KS remains off, forever? Correspondence that if not back on, license will expire Aug 21, 2021: http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/getimportletter_exh.cgi?import_letter_id=96705 BTW, the only KLEY in radio-locator.com is an unrelated? FM in Jourdanton TX, ``La Ley 95.7``. Unless you specify ``KLEY-AM`` even tho ``-AM`` is not part of the true call of any AM station! Marked as off the air and no link to coverage patterns. How about FCC AM Query? https://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/amq?list=0&facid=31895 It is *not* flagged as off the air. Here is the 250-watt day pattern, broadly direxional peaking NNW, and not much here to the SSW: https://transition.fcc.gov/Bureaus/MB/Databases/AM_DA_patterns/8cf11831a21545c2aa10c1b6063ebeb7-860.pdf What a joke, 1 watt at night, also direxional? Looks same, smaller: https://transition.fcc.gov/Bureaus/MB/Databases/AM_DA_patterns/8cf11831a21545c2aa10c1b6063ebeb7-1798.pdf (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1909 UT August 14
