week's Programme - First broadcast this coming Saturday by
Channel 292 - begins with part of Glazounov's Four
Seasons, the Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia by Khachaturian,
the song 'Sea Fever' by John Ireland and two songs from texts by
William Shakespeare.
After
that we'll hear the second and third movements of Elizabeth
Maconchy's Oboe Quintet and some of the Piano Quintet No.1 from
Grazyna Bacewicz. The Programme ends with the Allegro Moderato
from Mozart's Symphony No. 29 in A, and the Intermezzo from
String Sextet in D by Erich Korngold.
Channel 292 can be pulled live off the internet if
