** CHINA. 13920, June 28 at 1359, tune-in just in time for CNR1 jammer to timesignal and off 1400* --- but wait, there is now a much weaker signal offset to the plus side but not measured. That could really be Sound of Hope, Taiwan. Wolfie may have measured it precisely sometime, but I haven`t found it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13740, 11850, 11760, 11670, June 28 at 2324, all these RHC frequencies scheduled now are absent; but 9710 & 9535 audible, as are CRI relays on 13650 and probably 11980 harmonic. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** SAUDI ARABIA. 17895.072, June 28 at 1437, Qur`an is JBA on always off-frequency; even weaker JBA carrier on 17614.989, the pair amounting to the only stations on band (OSOB) (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU [and non]. 7260, June 28 at 0543, JBA carrier, presumed R. Vanuatu back on `normal` sked and about to QSY to 11835. So ahead of time I park on 11834-USB to hear the carrier cut on, which it does at *0559:31, still JBA vs high ~S9 local 24/7 line noise level. [I called it in to OG&E a week ago and a guy came by only to tell me that someone from OKC would have to come up and deal with it when they get around to it. There used to be a powerline noise DF guy in Enid but he`s moved on to a new position. Still QRX] Ron Howard had reported RV AWOL from 7260/11835 for three days June 25-26-27, and had this Reply from Rob Wagner (Australia) on June 27: ``"Yes Ron. Here in mid-winter, I am hearing RV on 7260 for much of the day from 0200 to s/off. My notes show that on June 25, RV was there on 7260 at 0200 but gone when I checked that band again at 0310. Irregular operations and I suspect technical difficulties. I have not checked the other freqs. Rob"`` BTW, we would not be hearing RV on 7260 as early as 0330-0400, rather VOA Somali via Vatican yet VG signal here way off-target, violating Separation of Church and State (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 90.1, June 28 at 1518 UT, on household radio listening to KUCO, briefly overcome by gospel huxter in English, i.e. sporadic E trying to break thru, certainly not the usual CCI from also classical Radio Kansas KHCC; and nothing close enough to do that by Vance airplane scatter. So out to the car for DX bandscan, resulting in zilch till I quit at 1537. There is lots of Es on DXMAPs, some spots surpassing 90 or 100 MHz; and guys back east have DXed OK stations, but I am not so lucky in reverse. But then I am not constantly monitoring with a big antenna (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0433 UT June 29
