GLENN HAUSER`S WEEKLY LOG ROUNDUPS
Published by early UT Thursday each week, the original complete logs in one merged alfabetical file: http://worldofradio.com/Hauserlogs.html The April 30-May 5 edition: https://www.w4uvh.net/ghlogs_2021_0429_0505.txt ** CUBA. 6087-6113, May 6 at 0610, RHC English splashing out over ~26 kHz range from 6100 which is S9+20/30. 6165 at S9+10/20 is almost as bad, 6153-6177 ~24 kHz. 5040 & 6000 are off, 6060 is OK. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** ERITREA [non]. About Bayto Yaikl mentioning PBS Frontline: it`s this week`s new edition, `Escaping Eritrea`, which was not yet on PBS website when I checked. It seems they do not utter the word ``Bayto`` on the air, as Ivo Ivanov reports: ``FRANCE Reception of Dimtse (Bayto) Yiakl, USA at new time and on new frequency on May 5: 1630-1700 on 11760 ISS 250 kW / 125 deg to EaAf Tigrinya Wed/Sat, very good via SDR Tambov, RUS http://swldxbulgaria.blogspot.com/2021/05/dimtse-bayto-yiakl-usa-at-new-time-and.html Announced on the first video at 00.47 sec. Azi Dimtse Yiakl America and then time and frequency`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KIRITIMATI. 846 kHz, May 6 at 0627, JBA carrier from presumed R. Kiribati; none others noted, not even 1098 Marshalls (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KOREA NORTH [and non]. 11710, May 6 at 0612, no sign of stilted French from VOK like heard on May 3, so maybe back on correct frequencies. The weak 11680 signal both then and now could be VOHA Zambia as well as P`yongyang. At 1409 May 6, however, 11710 VOK with scheduled stilted French is S9-S7 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2084 monitoring: Richard Lemke, Alberta, confirms Wed May 5 at 1030 on WRMI 5850; as well as many other airings. I confirm final repeat on WRMI: UT Thu May 6 at 0130 on 5010, S9/+10 into Bonaire SDR. A NEW time starts this week on WRMI, UT Saturday 0130 on 9395; that`s 8:30 pm CDT Friday. WRMI-6 is on 355 degree antenna, NNW. New WOR 2085 should be ready by early UT Friday May 7 for first broadcasts on WRMIs 5850 & 7780, expected not to be pre-empted this week (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7730, May 6 at 0615, WRMI is back on after missing two overnights; TOMBS music but modulation keeps cutting off and on. Same problem on 5850 & 5950, but 5890 WWCR intact. 5850 unusually has a SAH as if two transmitters be competing. Also, Jeff White says 7570 will be back on next week, mostly Brother Stair (Glenn Hauser, OK) ** U S A. Re NPR at 50: Rodney Johnson, Plymouth, replies on WOR iog: ``Greetings From Minnesota! I heard the NPR treatment of the event via podcast. It was well worth the almost hour in length. https://www.npr.org/2021/04/30/991424624/fifty-and-forward-an-anniversary-celebration-of-npr 73s http://swldx.tumblr.com --Rodney`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 11835, May 6 at 0611, NO signal from R. Vanuatu X 3. Conditions seem normal with 11725 NZ, and 11895 presumed RFA Saipan the other significant 25mb signals. Some editors throw out my non-logs like this as if they were not newsworthy! China not audible either on 11835 -- Ron Howard indicates it too is irregular (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 9385, May 6 at 1412, open carrier S9+10/S9; likely WEWN night frequency not turned off; testing? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 11523-CW, May 6 at 1331, long JBA automated CW message, eventually restarting with VVVs, but too weak to detect any DE ID. Not in EiBi; UDXF iog has numerous recent 11523 logs without specific ID, some as QSX sent on other frequencies by Russian Navy, or earlier as ALE by British Army from Muscat, Oman (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 1758 UT May 6
