328-MCW kHz, April 25 at 0537 UT, NDB dash and YTL, which is 1000 watts from Big Trout Lake, Ontario. These are regulars in the winter but JBA vs spring storm noise from GA & FL, pleased to pull them now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 13765 & 13635 approx., April 25 at 1447, weak spurblobs with F# tone but no program modulation, out of 13700-AM RHC which is S9/+10. Could easily miss second orders at plus/minus 130 kHz, but find them VP circa 13570 & 13830. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,, WOR) ** CUBA. 9650, April 25 at 1455, RHC is still here after one day on 9640 instead (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 3185-USB, Apr 25 at 0415, V of Pancho Villa relay continued from last report, still going S3-S4, something about Hitler. Meanwhile I sent my first detailed report to Mystery Radio and quickly received this strange reply; after all, it was at the time and frequency Mystery himself had publicized: ``Hello Glenn - I'm sorry to tell you that what you heard was an [un?]authorized broadcast of VPV. The operator relaying the program decided to have "fun" mixing the VPV episodes with other content. I can see bits and pieces of the real VPV in what you reported but not enough to verify. I suppose I could send you a non-eQSL but that would be silly. Episodes 2014 to 2021 -- what was to be aired uncut and unmixed tonight -- will be relayed around 7 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday) [23 UT] on 5185 kHz. Perhaps you'll be able to report on the real thing. Yours truly, The Mystery Pirate, I am a mystery to myself``. More reports about this: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,80719.0.html (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. An FM bandscan while viewing Kites Over Enid festival in a field north-central Enid, April 24 after 1837 UT, includes: 100.7, Stillwater ad and ``101 Country, KASE`` ?? Sure sounded like that but has to be Ponca City, where the call has always been KPNC. Obscured by recently activated local KGWA translator on 100.9; while Stillwater really has an also obscured one on 101.1. 104.7, Blackwell ad from ``The Bull``, which is really KQSN Ponca City. 107.9, some rockmusic, low modulation, a surprise aside 107.7 OKC. Then it fades away. Certainly no Es now. Maybe a Kansan, or RF feeder in another car which has driven away. 95.1, dead air, suspect an RF feeder in somecar not in use but left turned on; blots OKC/Wichita unless one of them really be dead (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** PHILIPPINES. 12080, April 25 at 1453, VOA Korean is the SSOB, S9/+10, stronger even than 11760 RHC or Martí 11860 & 11930. This is 250 kW, 21 degrees from Tinang at 1200-1500, aimed right toward us far beyond Koreas (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 385-MCW kHz, April 25 at 0529 UT, ND beacon HO, which is 200 watts from HOt Springs, Arkansas. Unsolicited but always welcome eQSL from TRSW April 25: ``Ahoy Glenn - We hope you listened to the entire "Planet Texas" song on WRMI. Nothing unusual noted, just graveyard-like pileup of multisignals, until at 0425 a talker briefly dominates. Our closest, Tulsa is not much of a factor on its night pattern; at least the felonious St Louis station is no longer in the way. Then at 0426-0433 UT I switch to the DX-398 aimed NE toward WION, still nothing significant. At 0521 UT I try again on the DX-398, and behold, barely atop the jumble someone says ``...would be appreciated....` and ``WION``, definitely mentioned. Maybe were asking for reports. Next few minutes there was conversation, no idea whether same station, and also something playing a Dolly Parton song. Here`s info about the test, including a night coverage map. Somewhat oval favoring NNW. At the later hour WION had probably gone up from night to day power. Ionia is just east of Grand Rapids: https://groups.io/g/IRCA/topic/wion_1430_stereo_testing/82342686?p=,,,20,0,0,0::recentpostdate%2Fsticky,,,20,2,0,82342686 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU [and non]. 11835, Apr 25 at 0615, R.
