re 9700 kHz, likely the RHC Chicago beam outlet from Bauta site, on test at this hour ? Now in A-21 season on 6165 kHz in 49 mb instead. In 2019 Prof. Arnaldo told the world about refurbished China Made BBEF Beijing transmitter unit, now also often heard with very respectable audio quality, very tolerable, better as some test level reports in DX publications these days mentioned. 73 wb df5sx wwdxc 9700 kHz Very weak at first, but fading up to 344 0713-0738*

Subject: [WOR] Logs from Michigan I'll include my logs with photos/audio that are about to be in the MARE TipSheet. As always, MI denotes logs from Williamston in South Central Lower Michigan Those denoted MI2 are from Port Hope in the Thumb of Michigan SWBC: Unknownia: 9700/AM ???? A pirate of some sort? Someone testing? NO clue what this is but I'll include a minute or so of audio to give you a 'flavor' of the thing. In essence it was a "Radio Drama" of some sort with lots of sound effects music and 'atmosphere'. Maybe the audio of a movie? The plot was of battle/conflict of some sort mentioning London, heavy on sound effects and not really as expository as most radio scripts which makes me think it might have been a movie soundtrack. Anyone recognize this? A Sci-Fi movie maybe? I have no idea what this was, but the production quality and voice acting was quite good, rather unlike most pirate things, and it clearly was not either RHC (the modulation was too good!) or RNZ, but that direction may make some sense given the way the signal propagated. Does anyone have an idea about this one? (brief audio attached) Very weak at first, but fading up to 344 0713-0738* -- carrier dropped about 30 seconds after the audio stopped 26/Mar RSP1 +SDRuno +ANC-4 +randomwire --Zichi MI inspiration running low: <insert your own witty saying here> Ken Zichi
