Logs
DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS updated Feb 5:
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html

** CANADA. 223-MCW kHz, Feb 5 at 0715 UT, dash and YYW, 1000-watt ND
beacon at Armstrong, Ontario.
http://visitnorthwestontario.com/communities/armstrong/
``Armstrong is a small, rural community 250 km north of Thunder Bay at
the end of Highway 527 and northwest of Lake Nipigon, Ontario’s
largest inland lake. It is accessible by road but also by Via Rail and
charter air services to the Armstrong airport. The community of
Armstrong is the gateway to Wabakimi Provincial Park.``

340-MCW kHz, Feb 5 at 0715 UT, dash and YY, 500 watt NDB at Mont Joli,
Québec; I was tuned to 339-USB. It`s just NE of Rimouski on the Gaspé
peninsula, right bank of the St-Laurent (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 6060, Feb 5 circa 0330, RHC Spanish is on again, tho missing
last night. It and all others are off at 0700 check - 6000, 6100,
9700, some maybe just moments ago but 5040 is still on with Spanish ID
until off at 0701*. Something`s always wrong at RHC. So the final
English hour repeat gets lost. Depends on when the night shift has had
enough? And who cares, who will notice at HQ when it`s 2 am? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15700, Feb 5 at 1604, S9+30 of dead air, as CRI relay
transmitter has not been turned off by 1600. Standard remark about kWh
wastage. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Feb 5 at 1608, RHC is S9+10 but just barely modulated,
and what remains sounds distorted. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NIGERIA [and non]. 11769.92, Feb 4 at 0703, presumed VON on wrong
morning frequency instead of 7254.9, altho undermodulated, signature
askew-minus like always. There is also a het from algo closer to
11770.00 -- PBS Xinjiang in Chinese is scheduled from Urumqi, East
Turkistan, land of ChiCom slavery and genocide against Uyghurs (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 269-MCW kHz, Feb 5 at 0705 UT, ND beacon BEX, which is 25
watts from Bloomfield, i.e. east of Brazil and west of Lebanon, in SE
Iowa. I was tuned to 267-USB where normally resides HET in Henryetta
OK, but not heard now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2071 monitoring: confirmed UT
Thursday February 4 at 0130 on WRMI 5010, VP S6-S9 direct, but S9+10

** VANUATU. 11835, Feb 4 at 0701, R. Vanuatu, presumed third harmonic
of 3945, JBA modulation. Happened to check now but per Ron Howard,
previous fundamental 7260 has extended an hour until 0659* so no
harmonix before then; often audible also on X2 = 7890 but not now
