Subject: Re: TDF Issoudun in DRM mode on shortwave

Hello Wolfy
Here's the answer from TDF

- - - -

Hello,
Since January 1, we have been carrying out new DRM tests
from our Issoudun distribution center.

These tests are initiated by TDF as part of our DRMCast project.

DRMCast is an OC receiver that we have developed on our own funds which
makes it possible to locally rebroadcast DRM content over wifi.
Through this gateway-type interface, any smartphone or tablet-type receiver
is thus capable of receiving sound, text and images broadcast in DRM.

The first tests were carried out on the minitransat in 2019 with
a race report for boats crossing the Atlantic.

We are not far enough advanced to date to address Vendée Globle type
races, but the Maritime world is a track that we are considering for
DRMCast.

For the time being, we have 4 30-minute broadcasting slots with RFi world
programs and some associated data:

13: 00-13:30 11735
15: 00-15:30 9905
17: 30-18:00 9905
23: 30-00:00 5875

These slots are likely to change in the days / weeks to come. These are
tests to continue our development, we are not communicating at the moment.

Bonjour,

No problem for the translation ?
Bis bald !
Jean-Michel

RFI ?

salutations de Stuttgart,
Bonne année 2021,
restez toujours en bonne santé.

FRANCE Unscheduled broadcast of Radio France International.
"Regular Radio France International broadcasts continue 24 hours a day on

It is also in DRM.

Radio France International in DRM mode.
TDF performs "irregular" DRM broadcast tests during the month of January:
from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on 7405 kHz;
from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on 9900 kHz;
from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on 15285 kHz;
from 3:05 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on 9905 kHz;
and from 11 p.m. to midnight on 5875 kHz.
These are data broadcasts mainly for tests of the DRMCAST system for ships.

The programs are broadcast by the Issoudun transmitter center (hours in
UTC). These emissions were not recorded in the HFCC Winter database.

This and other frequencies now entered on the drop-down DRM sked in the

Not HFCC. Shows 2300-2400 UT on 5875 kHz like Ivo but it was *not* - on
when checked at 2311 UT, probably not starting until 2330 UT; and off
again after 2400 UT.
