I forgot to share this one when it happened almost 2 weeks ago. I started hearing spanish begin to bubble up on 1370, so I fine tuned my 5" DeBock FSL loop and hit record and boy, did I get lucky!
About 8 seconds into the recording, you hear a simple "La Ley" between songs. I recognized that slogan and that voice.. it's KGEN 1370 Tulare, CA. I have previously heard KGEN's 72 watt night power from Laramie, WY. I'd also logged KGEN's simulcast sister station, KGEN 94.5 Hanford, CA a 6KW Class A Equivalent in Wyoming I asked KGEN Engineer Tom Driggers to confirm KGEN was operating with it's licensed 72 Watts at night, and he confirmed that the remote control was powering down KGEN's transmitter properly. My KGEN Reception occurred on Tuesday January 12th at 745pm AK Time (1hr behind pacific). Here's my KGEN audio: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ypilSLoPh9xbBHNQvyPJ9FG0kipgi_Ye/view?usp=sharing Several minutes later, I had "La Caliente", KZSF San Jose. In the dj chatter he even mentioned La Caliented, as I recall.. so there's no mistaking the two. Here's my audio of KZSF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l4_fhX1pnH-uuUVo99-txXPMh8g8hyGQ/view?usp=sharing KZSF 1370 shares a triplexed site with KSJX 1500, which I've logged here in Alaska regularly. Also sharing that site is KLOK 1170 which I logged from Wyoming. An engineer who worked on that site said it smells like waffles with the Eggo factory sharing a parking lot Paul Walker _ Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/
