** CHINA. 13530, Jan 24 at 1458, JBA fluttery carrier until 1500*, no doubt CNR1 jammer against SOH starting to repropagate; but none heard just above or below 13000 yet; however, a weak open carrier at 13001 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13766 approx., Jan 24 at 1453, RHC with Marta Rios about propagation, so `En Contacto` reading Arnie script must be running late beyond 1450`s `En Compañía del Doctor`. Anyhow, 13700-AM is putting out lots of spurblobs but not in the usual pattern. For a change there are no F# tones with them! Rather low-pitched hums, best audible in FM mode, not AM. They are quite diffuse and harder than usual to guess a center frequency. First one is +66 kHz, paired with -63 kHz circa 13637, but there are others at mid-intervals: 13668 with no mod, 13605 vs residual jamming, 13576; 13729, 13795, 13828, 13887, 13949. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** KOREA SOUTH. 1566, Jan 24 at 1342, awake just in time to check on the longwire, JBA carrier surely from FEBC, and at 1344 near-imagination-level 3+1 timepips as definitely heard before when their antenna is switching from N Korea to China heading. Of course I could easily confirm this via remotes, if I were ever up and running computer by now. The winter window for direct reception is steadily closing, as our sunrise earlies, 1338 today (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TIBET [non]. 12125, Jan 24 at 1544, JBA tonal talk at S9; strixe me as an unusual frequency, but now Aoki-scheduled this hour only as CNR1 jammer and/or RFA Tibetan via TINIAN, NMI (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 4724-USB, Jan 24 at 0730, US military crypto message with always self-imposed heavy reverb/echo; also with continuous whine/siren noise, pitch varying very slightly; message header repeated several times fonetikaly: VOFJ3G; brief ``stand by``s and transmission breaks. Usually IDs as ``Andrews``, I think, but not positive I heard that this time. Or is it a different tactical ID each time? See a previous report: ``4724-USB // 8992-USB, Feb 9 at 0041, US military crypto alfanumeric fonetik string with usual reverb and clix between characters. EiBi calls these ``US Air Force Messages``, on six frequencies all available 24 hours, the others being 6739, 11175, 13200 and 15016. But where are they, really? And are they significant or mere exercise? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. World of Radio 2070, impromptu broadcast, s15/s20, very good here in Maryland.`` Tnx; yes, on WBCQ A51 webcast, but unheard on KB0FX SDR in MO, nor on Alexandria VA SDR close to Larry --- JBA carrier of something at best by the time I check it at 0609 midpoint of WOR; maybe not on air by then?
