** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-RCUSB, continuing LRA36 log from last report, Sat Oct 17 via Brasil SDR: signal improving, mostly music past 1843, but off by 1915 recheck. Remember, next broadcast is supposed to be Tuesday for anniversary, not Wednesday (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** BOLIVIA [and non]. 3310, Oct 18 at 0106, JBA talk maybe in Quechua, presumed Radio Mosoj Chaski, known to be active as only CP on 90m. Signal is fading S4-S6, so not the local mix between KGWA and KCRC which used to block it, 2 x 960 plus 1390 = 3310. These two have surprisingly cleaned up from years past their harmonix and intermodulations, not much on 2880 or 4170, still some 2780 (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 5122.5 approx., Oct 18 at 0042, spurblob I suspect out of 5040 RHC as previously logged, at 2 x 41+ kHz interval, while if any around 5081 it`s blocked by 5085 WTWW sideband. First-order-minus would be just below 5000 WWV but not detected there; however, second-order-minus finds something about 4957.5 JBA with telltale F# tone. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA [and non]. 4782.5 approx., Oct 18 at 0042, distorted spurblob with enough music mod to make it // 4765 Radio Progreso. Then I look for a minus-match and find approx. 4748.5 vs CODAR; but these are not equally apart. Rather diffuse as I try to guesstimate their centers, so make them about 4782 and 4748. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba. BTW, Lúcio Otávio Bobrowiec in Brasil has been hearing Radio Huanta Dos Mil, Perú on 4764 before Cuba starts by 0030. I`ve yet to catch it; Aoki shows 0100*, EiBi 0200*, also *1047-1330, while Aoki shows *1100 straight thru on original 4747; EiBi on 4747.6 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 6000, Oct 18 at 0053, RHC English is S9+35 but suptorted, JBM, unlike // 6145. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 7340-7345-7350, Oct 18 at 0055, Radio Martí DRM is missing, just the jamming, while the bookend AM frequencies inboom above their jammings on 7365 & 7335. DRM supposed to run until 0200. Subject is advice to Cubans about CV-19 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** NORTH AMERICA. 6945-USB, Oct 18 at 0032, soft rock music S9+20 from some pirate, a frequency usually avoided due to ute circa 6942-3, but not now, so no problem. 0038 quick Wolverine Radio ID. Lots of logs here including playlist of ``Road`` songs: https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,73018.0.html The one I heard must have been ``Long Promised Road`` by the Beach Boys. Mr W must put a lot of work into his thematic shows (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. RF 13, KETA 13 via Suddenlink cable in Enid has continued defective sound of mono only, but during PBS `Nature` about cats, Oct 17 at 1939 UT, it suddenly blossoms into $ tereo! But for only two minutes, 1941 back to mono also with a slight video glitch as if deliberately switching source inputs. Shux (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. October 18 circa 0125 UT, further exploration of where to find KAUT OKC in ATSC 1.0: on the rabbit-ears thru STB set, no 43-1; but 43-2 CourtTV and 43-3 Escape/Mystery are on RF 24, which is KOKH Fox ``25``! But 43-4 Cozi is on RF 33, which is KOKH`s sibling station KOCB ``34``. Back on the broken roof level antenna thru a different STB at 0310: the same for those three, but 43-1 KAUT is coming from RF 27 which is KFOR. What a jumble as repacking and ATSC 3.0 transition proceeds (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** U S A. 341-MCW kHz, Oct 18 at 0112 UT, ND beacon DIN, underneath local EI Enid. DIN is 25 watts from Sherman-DenIsoN, Texas, just across in Baja Oclajoma. Normally I hear OIN in Oberlin, Kansas, instead. This is on different receiver and antenna than on my ~06 UT beacon searches so maybe that explain it (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2056 monitoring: Sat Oct 17 at 1945 midpoint, so started circa 1931 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville, MO, good S9+10 via nearby Warrenton SDR. NOT confirmed next broadcast, Sat Oct 17 at 2300 on WRMI 7780, because it is OFF the air - no signal into Maine or UTwente. Still off at 0000 Oct 18 and at 0300: must be serious problem. Also confirmed UT Sun Oct 18 at 0333 midpoint, on WA0RCR, 1860 AM, Gateway 160 Newsletter, via Warrenton SDR S9+10, ending at 0347:50 so started circa 0319. Does fade a bit toward the end (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5085, UT Sun Oct 18 at 0037, WTWW-2 with `TOUTA` underway, S9+40/50 but distorted, so no listening without a webcast handy. With BFO I also notice a slight wobble in the carrier frequency, bad symptom (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 5056.85 & 5043.15 approx., Oct 18 at 0040, matching weak spurblobs out of 5050 WWRB again vs splash from the center (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 9385, Oct 18 at 0103, no signal from WEWN English, while Spanish remains on 5970 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 7505, Oct 18 at 0105, WRNO has just come on at S9+35 but undermodulating its screaming gospel huxter (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 7766.5-USB, Oct 18 at 0058, 2- or multi-way contacts; I always have trouble understanding their rapid and colloquial Spanish, but think I heard ``viene la caravana`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0514 UT October 18
