** CANADA. 15035.8-USB, Oct 6 at 1428, Trenton Military, off-frequency! from 15034-USB, never noted such before. At least current reports are not ``not received``. Someone bumped the CHR transmitter? Bump it back (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, Oct 6 at 1345: JBA carriers mostly fluttery on 13835, 11460, 11170, 11150, 11120, 11000; 9155 S4-S6 with het, 9180, 9215. None WOOB elsewhere in the 13s, 12s or 10s (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 5025, Oct 6 at 0621, R. Rebelde S9+20 but suptorted. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** CUBA. 15230, Oct 6 at 1426, RHC is S9 of dead air or maybe JBM, while 15140 is S9/+10 with sufficient modulation, slightly distorted. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 395-MCW kHz, Oct 6 at 0638 UT, ND beacon CA, which is 25 watts from Newton - Harvs, Kansas. Also tuned to 395-USB simulhearing JE, which is really on 397-MCW kHz, 25 watts from Jefferson City, Missouri (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 414-MCW kHz, Oct 6 at 0637 UT, ND beacon ATS, which is 25 watts from Artesia, New Mexico. I was tuned to 412-USB (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 475.2-MCW kHz, Oct 6 at 0635 UT, WA4SZE BEACON is on and in; seems reliable now from Manchester TN (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1680, Oct 6 at 0625 UT, two music stations making fast SAH, C&W looping NW/SE, something else SW/NE. Someone had mentioned that KRJO Monroe LA seemed off the air following hurricane? damage. Maybe so, but it`s on now: ``Classic Country 99.7 The Legend``, while the other one IDs at 0630 with a different FM, 105.9? That would be WPRR Ada MI under new identity (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VENEZUELA. 6906.1-CUSB, more about the surprise new SW I heard: ``New news that José Hernández Madrid sends me about the Venezuelan station R. O. C. V. 6906 kHz. Actual power: 50 watts. R. O. C. V. 6906 kHz, El Tigre, Anzoátegui, Venezuela, is testing now, relaying "93.7 FM Así Suena". Later, also plans to relay "La Voz del Tigre", 980 kHz. When the test period ends, R. O. C. V, 6906 will be on air with its own program. It is not a pirate station, they are requesting permission from CONATEL (Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones) to be on air legally. Manuel Méndez, Lugo, Spain`` He includes a logo with ROCV --- what could that stand for? Maybe ``Radio Onda Corta Venezolana``? I never heard those letters said. ``Glenn -- On Sunday [Oct 4], I wrote to El Tigre in English and Spanish (Microsoft translate) via their FB page about hearing the SW relay, and got the following reply in English: "Hello, thank you for listening, we are via short band for the whole world, our contacts by whatsapp is +58 424 852 8414" So whether or not it's licensed by the Venezuelan government, I think the relay is being done with the station's knowledge and cooperation. Reception is quite good here in Maryland in the evenings. Saturday night they were still going at 0407 (Sunday morning) when I went to bed. Yesterday I think I caught their s/on just after 1000 -- sounded like an anthem -- but so far, signal is much weaker in the morning. Always best with the SAL antenna pointed to the SE or S from here. (Art Delibert 10/6/20) N. Bethesda, MD, TenTec RX-340, SAL-12 antenna`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Oct 6 at 0634: 621, 684, 774, likely Canaries/Spain; but no signal on 846, nor has there been lately, from presumed Kiritimati south of Hawaii; off the air? A month ago it was reported thus in NZ DX Times: ``846 0540 KIRIBATI Radio Kiribati weak w/male & female in dialect alternating, on measured 845.9955 visible separately from Masterton on 846.000 on 7/9. Carrier appeared abruptly at 0500 on 8/9 confirming evening s/on. Audio evident by 0520. Closed 0943 on 10/9. Carrier also visible at 1710 until 1740 f/out 6/9. BCM Bryan Clark in Mangawhai with WinRadio G33DDC SDR & EWEs to NE, E & SE`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 15399.75 approx., rapid pulse noise centered about here but covering at least 15395-15400, Oct 6 at 1430. Here`s more about it from Don Moman on October 4: ``At 2130 in Alberta, the noise consists of a wide carrier centered about 25 kHz [sic] below 15400, this is the rumbling part. There is an additional clicking, much like that of a geiger counter, centered around 15398. In USB on the Perseus, there isn't anything detectable. I think some transmitter somewhere is malfunctioning, not necessarily meant to be near 15400`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) TIPS FOR RATIONAL LIVING PROMISES MADE, PROMISES BROKEN https://keepamericagreat.com/ (via Bruce, K3HY) This report dispatched at 1616 UT October 6
