** BULGARIA. 7290, July 17 at 1827, I check out how IRRS hour in English is doing via Secretbrod, into UTwente SDR: dead air! except for 7291 warble, 7280 splash and humroar on own carrier; but song modulation cuts on once a minute for 5-10 seconds at 1827, 1828, 1829, 1830, 1831, 1832 --- enough of that; time for lunch. 1859 recheck still DA, but 1900 brief ID and off. What programming was defeated? Glad it would not have been WOR. Tried to check website, https://www.nexus.org/member-services/radio-and-tv/schedules/ but blocked by two browsers as Not Secure (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Sporadic E MUFs are mostly tantalizingly just below 88 MHz FMBC band. Unfortunately, I don`t have a decent lowband TV Ch 2-6 antenna and rotor, so I am missing DTVDX and maybe some analog left from Latin or Canadian America; 6 meters may be open too, but a few chex for beacons there have not succeeded, as all I have is my longwire mainly for HF and MF. That leaves the 10m hambeaconband, after first finding CB such as 27025 hopping with hetty pileups: 28217.5, July 17 at 1419, VVV DE K4PAR/B, and fades. WJ5O shows: ``28.2175 K4PAR ? There are many such stations located around the world that are operated by other amateur radio operators. Simply stated: A propagation beacon station constantly transmits a signal using morse code (CW) on a specific frequency. If an amateur radio operator or short wave listener hears a beacon coming from another part of the world it usually means that they can either hear, or in the case of an amateur radio operator talk to, stations operating from the same area as the beacon they monitored. Join in on the fun of running a propagation beacon. Postal address remains 6-figure box in Miami; I`d think that would be inconvenient for the Okeechobeeans to check. Once again, 9955 does not go off* at 1400 but continues with `Freedom Synergy Radio`, first item about Hong Kong situation, in English; still going at 1417 but off after 1430.
