Hauser
** KURDISTAN [non]. 11530, June 7 at 0551, S9-S7 ME song, nice, no
jamming, but by 0557 there is a light fast SAH, perhaps the Turkish
jammer; 0600 orchestral music and Dengê Welat ID, 0601 into news(?).
Recheck at 0635, no signals. Aoki/NDXC shows a site switch at 0600
from Issoudun, FRANCE, to PRIDNESTROVYE, so that was likely the SAH
carrier I had from a much weaker signal (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6933-USB, June 7 at 0002, pirate song at S3-S4; 0023
seems to say ``radio hub``, and guitar strumming. 0040 another
announcement; 0051 says wife just brought him another bottle of wine,
feeling good and will keep going; faded up to S8-S9, ``Zekey`s Attic
here``. Next check 0105 is off. More reports:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,68040.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6880-USB, June 7 at 0042, hard rock, S6-S7, 0048
``X-FM Shortwave``; 0055 DJ acknowledging reports, e-mail from Brandon
in Pennsylvania; someone in Columbus, Ohio; also posts on HF
Underground; X-FM relayed by Mix. Reports to XFMshortwave@gmail.com or
phone 408-800-6925 for E- or P-QSLs if there is sufficient detail to
verify; 0059 TC for ``one in front of one``, ID, ``east of the
Rockies, west of Normal``. Still going at 0120. More reports, many
with great reception:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,68039.0.html
AC 408 is Santa Clara county area, California, unlikely to be QTH with
the good signals back east (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U K [non]. 11620, June 7 at 0602, news in French all about Africa,
first especially Libya; altho fluent, the speakers seem not with the
pristine Parisian accent, perhaps African-influenced. Aoki/NDXC shows
this semihour is BBC via AUSTRIA, and gone at 0635 recheck. There is
also a LAH, from? Only otherthing sked at this hour is CNR5, Beijing
site; would not expect either to be off-frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 18131.778-USB, June 6 at 2049, W7YO is the OPSOB (only phone
station on band), Glenn running 100 watts from the 4-corners area,
leisurely contact with unheard AA3PM(?) discussing antennas,
equipment. Still there at 2124 on the other receiver when measured.
QRZ.com lookup: ``W7YO USA, GLENN M GURNEY, BLANDING, UT 84511``.

There is also some CW just above 21 MHz, but no phone audible on
``15`` meters, and nothing on 12 or 10. HF sporadic E opening.

I am paying close attention to MUFs as monitored and as on the 6m DX
MAPs. Once in a while it pokes above 88 MHz, but in the wrong places,
not enough for any FM DX to skip into here. We are around the nominal
peak of the summer Es season, but it`s been very disappointing so far;
indeed nothing since the surprise early opening in mid-April (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2037 monitoring: confirmed UT
Sunday June 7 at 0300 on WRMI 5800, VG at TWR Dominican Republic SDR.

Also confirmed at 0353 UT Sun June 7 on WA0RCR, 1860-AM, MO, noisy via
Chicago SDR, at the midpoint so started circa 0339. Next:

0130 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE
0230 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to NE
0300vUT Monday WBCQ 5130v Area 51 or 6160v to WSW
0330 UT Monday WRMI 9955 [jammed] to SSE
0900 UT Monday Unique Radio NSW 3210-USB
1800vUT Monday IRRS 7290 Bulgaria to WNW, 594-Italy
0100 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to NE
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0100 UT Thursday WRMI 7780 to NE

** U S A. 15809.977, June 6 at 2138, very weak and fading carrier,
some JB modulation? rock music at peaks, and Ted? Must be the seldom
activated WTWW-3. Still past 2144+. Similar signal to 15825 WWCR,
neither getting any sporadic-E boost over this path despite lots of HF
MUFs around the continent. It seems the last times I logged this were
August 18-19, 2018, offset at .938 and .930.

5085, WTWW-2 is on and arriving this early at 2140 much better with
woman`s voice not //, presumably some ham show this Saturday. The
other possible WTWW frequencies, 9930, 9475 and 5830 are all silent,
and probably 12105 if I could have remembered it.

By 0100 June 7, only 5085 heard with quotation from Exodus, ID and
rock music, distorted on S9+30/40 signal.

15810, June 7 at 1839, JJBBA carrier, even weaker than 15825 WWCR, but
suspect WTWW-3 on again; however by 1850 nothing to be heard via
several remotes in different direxions at greater distances.

Once again there is plenty of HF Es around the USA, but not over the
TN/OK path. High MUF spots into the 90s are scattered, either too far
or to close over here; nada on an FM bandscan at 1800-1814 UT
concentrating on 88-98 MHz (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** VANUATU. 11835, June 7 at 0627, ``island music``, must be the third
harmonic of RV, 3 x 3945 as has been erupting now for weeks and often
reported by Ron Howard. First time I`ve heard it since it`s now coming
on an hour earlier at *0600 before my too-late-already bedtime. RV
keeps changing frequency/times, so get it while we can.

Also a JBA carrier on 7890 = 2 x 3945. I measure it on 11835.000, but
Ron`s recent recording has a low het upon it; China being the
co-channel but they are normally spot-on. At 0630 there is a
sounder/drumming, and talk, not sure of language but intonation sounds
French; Ron reported on June 6 and says the same was on June 7 at this
time:

``0630-0644: "Half past five"; "Press Release," with very detailed
information about applying for an interest free loan from the Cyclone
Harold Vanuatu National Provincial Fund, given in French, Bislama and
English; followed in English with message from school Principal Fred
Ottman, about the Aore Adventist Academy being relocated and giving
students detailed instructions for the move. Good number of IDs
("Radio Vanuatu, Vois Blong Yumi"); some light China QRM and a slight
het.
My audio of French, at http://bit.ly/30eYzVl
My audio of English, at http://bit.ly/2XB5xCg .``

Here it`s S4-S7, so hard to believe this be an accidental harmonic.
Station is aware of these and was supposedly going to fix them, but we
hope they don`t! Tnx to our summer, 25m is hopping with other signals,
but NZ has already dropped to 50m (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** ZAMBIA. 11680, Sun June 7 at 0615, AWR Wavescan is coming in quite
well via VOHA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 1942 UT June 7
