Songkran Festival "Stay home, Stop the infection for life"

https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/thailand/songkran-day

Thais are celebrating this year's Songkran festival, also known as the
Buddhist New Year.

The festival, held between 13 and 15 April in Thailand, is also celebrated
in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.

Songkran is often referred to as the biggest water fight in the world.

Images from across Thailand show large crowds of people taking part in
festivities.

The holiday was traditionally marked by visiting family members and pouring
water over Buddha statues.

The Songkran Festival is a national holiday in Thailand. It marks the
beginning of the Thai New Year. The word Songkran is derived from the
Sanskrit work samkranti, which means astrological passage. It is a
traditional Buddhist festival, and it is usually celebrated between 13 and
16 April unless the dates are modified by an official government
announcement.

MYANMAR. 5985, Myanmar Radio, fairly good reception on April 14:

1438-1443: First time I've heard "Learning English with BBC, Burmese" on a
Tuesday; very readable in Burmese and English; followed
by unique indigenous music and singing. My audio at http://bit.ly/2VvoBiW
(two minutes of English lesson and two of music). Normally
hear BBC English lesson Wed and Fri about 1300 UT.

1523-1528: Unique Buddhist chanting and ringing of bell.

1530: Intro to segment of accented English; "Hello. Good evening dear
listeners. Our final transmission for today, radiating on 5985 kHz.,
50.13 meters, 576 kHz., 520 meters and 594 kHz, 505 meters. Now we start
with the news" (extensive coverage of today's ASEAN summit,
dealing with COVID-19, via video conference -
https://asean.org/declaration-special-asean-summit-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/
).

1542: ID, weather, parenting and COVID-19 PSA given by native speaker of
English; Gbenga Adenuga singing "I See You In Me," song
about global peace and unity (song at YouTube -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjyLkXjK69I ). My audio of ID and weather
at http://bit.ly/2K73H4A .
