Hauser
** CHINA. CNR1 jammer hunt July 3 finds the following:

10550, July 3 at 1316, JBA carrier --- maybe not, unlisted

10960, July 3 at 1316, Chinese from CNR1 jammer

11440, July 3 at 1317, CNR1 jammer much stronger than 11460

12820, July 3 at 1349, CNR1 jammer in Chinese, S1-S2

12870, July 3 at 1349, CNR1 jammer best of all S4-S5.

No further WOOB ones found. The five above all check in EiBi as CNR1
jammers against Sound of Hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 12200, July 3 at 0558, RHC English is S7-S9 and still past
0602+, second harmonic of 6100; and 12200 is the SSOB! Somewhat
stronger than 11610 WEWN, everything else on 25m JBA carriers.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** NIGERIA. 11769.9, July 3 at 0558, no signal from VON here, nor on
7254.9 nor 9689.9; however shortly after 0600, Ivo Ivanov, Bulgaria,
found it ``weak`` back on 7254.9 which I did not check again (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

The broadcast is normally on hard-to-hear 5130+v WBCQ; on this
occasion maybe also on 500 kW 9330, but not mentioned by Tom. AW said
something about that previously, or was it last week?

Yes, an earlier twit from Tom publicized AW being on the show June 25!
So is this in addition to or instead of? (Glenn Hauser, 0010 UT July
3, WOR iog via DXLD)

Yes, tonight on http://tmedlin.com/video-2-2/

Gets to AW audio-only on the phone interview at 0115, at first very
undermodulated. And yes, now also on 9330, but bad distortion level,
then improving. At 0100, 9330 had switched from an AWWW playback to
WHVW feed, so I figured Amateur R Roundtable would not be on that.

So far it`s just about AW`s early pirate or ``civil disobedience``
radio days.

Silly me, I started out watching a W5KUB ``live stream`` of Tom
messing with the computer, until I read the fine print -- it was from
2016, which hardly qualifies as live now. ``Live stream`` naming
should be deleted after the fact.

Then I found the real live stream which was about 8 seconds apart from
9330. Later that had been reduced to only one second.

Among the info gleaned from what AW said on this interview:

WBCQ=6 is not full 500 kW power yet, but almost. Will be in a couple
of days. (This contradicts previous info from WBCQ that it had been up
to 500 kW for several days now.) ERP is almost 20 megawatts at 9 MHz.
The 200-ton Ampegon antenna is precisely balanced and can be moved by
hand rather than two 3 hp motors, very quietly. 9330 is currently
aimed 270 degrees true, toward Mexico and Central America (no, that
would be 240 degrees or less). It takes 2.5 minutes for the antenna to
rotate 360 degrees. Has TimTron hooked his ham rig up to the Ampegon?
Not yet. Tom would like to do that when he visit Monticello. The very
large final tube cost $ 80K. Another one for standby is on order. 5130
transmitter is #2. WBCQ property occupies 200 acres (earlier he gave a
smaller figure over 100). The Weiners live in a house ``down the
road`` and there is no RF overload problem at ground level from the
500 kW. Will have new QSL cards for the first time in 20 years. But AW
hardly has spare time to send them. Please include SASEs. The entire
interview lasted until 0200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 5830, July 2 at 1932, WTWW-1 is still on night frequency,
not 9475. I hear that Ted is in a wheelchair, so may have mobility
issues getting to and from and around inside the station. But
shouldn`t it be remote-controlled for frequency changes??

5085, UT Wed July 3 at 0610, WTWW-2 is on again with the Pete Santilli
far-right talk show, plugging his survivalist food; guest on phone is
``Ben Time Traveler``, still going at 0621. Haven`t found when this
start and if rock DJ lineup earlier be curtailed (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 17775, July 2 at 1933, missing earlier, now KVOH is S5-S6
and modulating (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 1654 UT July 3
