** EAST TURKISTAN [and non]. 9535 // stronger 9730, March 25 at 1935,
Chinese music fill during scheduled `Portuguese` hour, via Baoji and
Kashgar sites per EiBi, and 9730 with an understation in French, which
would be Vietnam, all into UTwente (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** ITALY [and non]. 10000, March 25 at 1945 UT, bit of music, `Dance
of the Hours` -- get it? A.k.a. ``hello Mudda, Hello Fadda``, and time
pips, announcements in Italian from the ``amateur`` timesignal station
calling itself Italcable, which was really the name of the
point-to-point SW service years ago. Same music bit in following
minutes. Also surprised by some Morse code, starting WWV? Guess what,
WRTH does not include Italy in the STFT sexion on page 797. I suspect
this qualify as a pirate, seldom reported as such. Heard via UTwente.
Occasionally double-pips, so some other station is out of synch. 1959
QRM code ID from BPM China. 2000 full ID and contact info in Italian.
EiBi shows location as Andrate 45N31-07E53 -- which is in Torino
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** KOREA NORTH. 9424.998-, March 25 at 1919, S9+5/15 into UTwente, VOK
reciting its times and frequencies in English; trouble is, Aoki & EiBi
show this hour is supposed to be in German! Per WRTH, English at 19-20
is on 9875, 11635, 11910 and 7210 so I check those out during music
after 1923, and the first three sound the same, 7210 too poor, as is
6170, the other `German` frequency. Of course, all their music sounds
the same, but wires are crossed somewhere. At 1931, all except 6170
are perceptibly in English talk (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO [and non]. 800, March 25 at 0647 UT, heavy distortion QRMing
KQCV OKC gospel huxter, previously traced to XEERG, NL. Usually
audible at night, but worse than usual now (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** MEXICO. 1549.82, March 25 at 0626, JBA carrier still perceived
hetting 1550 stations, presumably from XEREL Morelia, Michoacán (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 1670, Mar 24 circa 2030 UT, Virtual DJ Radio webcast
relay via low-power, Part 15? transmitter somewhere in Enid, peaking
at junxion of US81 and US412, and audible whenever I`m in the area, or
even downtown on caradio. Doubtful it could be DXed at night, but it
would be challenging to try to pull it in as far away as possible on
daytime groundwave (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 95.1, Mar 24 at 2030 UT, dead air in $ tereo still from LP
transmitter in downtown Enid, originally for the `Tree of Light`
sponsored by OG&E = the electric company, already two sesquimonths
after Xmas! Must be on 24/7 but no music heard lately, altho I only
check it for a minute every few days. As I pointed out to the CP
holder of KOKJ-LP, this will be an obstacle if he ever gets his 95.1
on the air (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SPAIN. 9690, Mon Mar 24 at 2300, token English from SNR, VG
S9+20/30 into Maryland SDR, starts with A25 sked from March 30 but
generalized only, no language details, not even English. Listeners
have to KNOW that it will likely be an hour earlier than now, at 2200
UT and on M/W/F only. Version of same new sked via AER:
``Esquema de emisiones para A-25 de Radio Exterior de España,
mayoritariamente en español:
0000-0200 17715 AM-S; 15500 AM-N (M a S)
1400-2300 15390 AF-O, ATL-S; 15520 OR-M, INDICO; 17715 AM-S; 15500
AM-N (S y D)
1500-2300 15390 AF-O, ATL-S; 15520 OR-M, INDICO (L a V)
1800-2400 17715 AM-S; 15500 AM-N (L a V)``
Note: will be on three 15 MHz channels within 130 kHz of each other,
not much frequency diversity! No more 17855 for NAm in A-seasons. OR-M
means East Middle; AF-O must mean Africa West, altho East would also
be -O +riental. Indico means Indian as in Ocean. Should we call it
`Indican Ocean`??
2302 finally news; 2307 contact info; 2308 feature about
non-binary-gender issue, interview with Barbara Whitman of University
of Illinois at Chicago (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.003+, March 24 at 2300, VOT English not off
the air, VG S9+30/40 into UTwente. In AM Synch mode it first read out
5959.993-, with a subaudible het, but switching to plain AM and back
to synch, now it reads out properly 10 Hz higher, why? No time to
listen today until 2356 recheck when it`s already off, replaced by pop
music from China, maybe even in English. This one closer to 5960.000
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2287 monitoring: confirmed Monday
March 24 at 2050 the 2030 on SW Radio, Germany, 3975.003-, S8/9+5 but
noisy into UTwente. From next week: 1930.
Also confirmed UT Tuesday March 25 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9+40/50 into
S Texas SDR.
Also confirmed Tuesday March 25 at 1309 the 1300 on WRMI 9955, S8/9+5
direct.
Also confirmed Tuesday March 25 at 1411 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S6/S8
direct. BTW, I have not perceived any jamming of 9955 for quite a
while, even before R. Martí was deleted. Next:
2100 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy;
2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.
Financial support appreciated for our non-commercial public service
program: thanks for a generous contribution marking Vernal Equinox,
from Gerald T. Pollard, Raleigh NC, by check on a US bank to Glenn
Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, and says, ``Many thanks for your
unique service to the world.``

woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 9330, Mar 25 at 0633, NO signal again from WBCQ WLCR; what`s
wrong? 9395 WRMI is there as usual. Still no 9330 circa 1550 and 1900,
to UTwente or GA or MD SDRs (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED [and non]. 600, Mar 25 at 0643 UT, WMT Cedar Rapids IA
dominates as usual with C2CAM, but unusually there is QRM from another
C2CAM station *way* out of synch by many seconds. Possibilities in NRC
AM Log as of last August: KOGO CA, KCOL CO, WREC TN, KTBB TX. I think
we can rule out KOGO: besides distance, null thisaway. KCOL also null
thisaway. KTBB does have a lobe thisaway, and WREC is direxional SW.
Assuming everyone in spec, that leaves KTBB Tyler TX, which is also
closest (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 1650 kHz, Mar 25 at 0637 UT, still tone of about 320 Hz,
probably from KSVE El Paso (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
This report despatched at 2031 UT March 25
