** TURKEY [and non]. 5960.003+, Sun Mar 23 at 2258, no signal from VOT
into UTwente, going to be another bust? Something`s always erroneous
at Emirler. But 2301 recheck, now it is on at S8+30/45 starting olds
with wildfires in South Korea; recheck 2322, about Lebanon`s PM
visiting Turkey. Now there is 6CI and hum; soon outro as `Pulse of
Turkey`s Foreign Policy`. 2324 `Letterbox` theme starting, same YL
hostess as usual, starts with a comment about an important matter -
Recep becoming even more of a dictator? Of course not! About VOA being
abolished as of 31 March. IHHO, SW radio is a brilliant way to
communicate, endures where other media fail.
Then calls listeners, almost? all of whom are after QSLs: 1) Francis
Multen?, Ireland, heard it in French. 2) Roman Ritnick?, Ukraine. 3)
Mr Alexander, Sweden. 2331, music break. 4) Mr Mei? Lin?, Sichuan,
China. 5) Aman - Bahin?, India, with SWL club since 1990, listener
since 1985. 6) Mr Aisohat?, Argentina. 7) Hidei? Miyaki, Hiroshina,
Japan, heard French service; Feb holidays in Turkey? Valentine`s Day
2/14, but not official. 8) last: Mr. Zhen -?-, China. 2340 reminds us
that new frequencies start 30/3, no details. 2344 playing song request
for someone`s significant other - on staff? 2347 L`box theme, outro.
2348 other music. 2353 s/off as if 1330 on 13635, something`s awry at
Ankara. 2354 IS a few times, off somewhat before 2356* uncovering East
Turkistan, std condemnation, own anthem at 2400 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** U S A. 7570, March 24 at 0638, dead air again like last two nights,
instead of TOMBS, S9+25/30 from WRMI-5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. 15770, March 24 at 1455, no signal from WRMI-9
which is supposed to be on 24h, with SMTV during this hour; but there
is a signal on 17790, before sked *1500; unseems English. That would
be RRI in Romanian overlapping at 14-16 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 344 kHz, March 24 at 0628 UT, JBA carrier should be
strong enough to hear some MCW, but nothing. Maybe my closest, heard
before, JL in Joplin MO (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 1650 kHz, March 24 at 0652, again tone of about 320 Hz
against 1650 stations, probably KSVE El Paso. A local listener could
confirm that (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 7656.0, March 24 at 0639, open carrier except for JBA
clickery roughly twice per second, but seemed to be separate even
weaker clix between them, S9+10/15 vs HSNL, which also difficultizes
determining extent of the clickspan, roughly 7642/7670 = +/- 14 kHz.
Yet another one ending in -6. What is this? In 2020 & 2022, 7656 was
among a long list of Civil Air Patrol frequencies, coincidental?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 9162-9219, March 24 at 0644, multi-carrier, multi-tones
beating over this wide 57-kHz range, peaking S9+10 amid circa 9188.
What is this? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
