Those distances would indicate triple-hop sporadic E - or Trans-equatorial scatter. If you only heard music, how did you identify them? Was the audio clear or fuzzy? Were there any other unID signals?
O, rather distancefromto.net shows distance only 4528 km = 2814 statute miles. That`s still pushing it for double hop of 1400+ miles each; if Es, triple hop of 938 miles each would be ideal. 73, Glenn Hauser
