Next up is my near neighbour Bryan Clark in Mangawhai: DXing never ceases
to excite me, even 60+ years since I took up the hobby. This month's
examples are hearing Indonesian Papua on SW again, thanks to the
reactivation of RRI Nabire on 41 metres.

Checked the Pacific outlets today on remote Perseus units at Hiroshima,
Tokyo JAP and Edmonton Alb-CAN.
INDONESIA  7289.924 plus 1/2 half Hertz too measured signal of RRI Nabire
around tune-in at
08.12 UT to TX SWITCH OFF at 09.16 UT <<<<
Wed Oct 12. Tiny signal S=3-4 or -104dBm in Japan,
S=5 in Canada at -93dBm level.
Muslim Quran prayer noted in procedure around 08.45 to 08.57 UT, then
followed of tiny ladies(?) singer.
At 09.15 UT both were still on air INS 7290v and VUT 7890 kHz too.
VANUATU  Noted also at 08.33 UT today, 7890 kHz at S=4 or -98.8 dBm level,
and fundamental 3945 S=5, as well as hx of 11835 kHz much -122dBm tiny.
VUT still on air at 10.07 UT.
and extreme tremendous signal again compare too for example
NEW ZEALAND  7245.005 kHz R NZ Pacific from Rangitaiki at 08.41 UT,
on S=9+35dB level or -41dBm powerful level, report / interview of Library
exhibition from London(?) in Auckland(?) .

October 10 - Radio Vanuatu observations:
0644-0659* UT on 7260; island music; 0655, usual series of advertisements
and promos till cut off.
*0659, suddenly on 11835; promo for their annual Dec. "Krismas [Christmas]
in the Park" event held in Port Vila
and also Luganville; 0700, ID/time check and news in Bislama till 0714;
strong CODAR QRM. Pleased to actually
hear this frequency, as later (after 0900+) the 25m band closes down for me
and I have no signal coming through;
so my recent non-reception of RV on 11835 was due to lack of propagation!
