KOREA SOUTH. 5990.0 // 6348.0 // 9099.94, Echo of Hope - VOH, 0733 UT, March
10 (Thursday). The usual weekday English
lesson; "What time do you wake up?", "What time do you need a wake up
call?", "What time do you have breakfast?", etc.;
then at 0809, heard additional VOH frequencies of 3980 // 4885 (strong
Brazil QRM) // 6250, with C&W song "Stand By Your
Man."
6045, Voice of Freedom, on March 10, at *0753 UT - Sign on; gong rung three
times; Voice of Freedom ID; Republic of Korea choral
National Anthem; VOF FM frequency announcement; VOF singing station jingle;
0500 PM KST announcement; 0800, program
"Hamkke tteonaneun eum-ag-yeohaeng" (Let's go music together); mixing with
N. Korean super jamming, but not the pulsating
jamming often used against VOF.
SOLOMON ISLANDS. 9545, SIBC, 0445 UT, March 10. strong carrier, but no audio
at all detected; still on at 0541, but not at 0616.
Checking 5020, from 0616+, but no carrier heard thru last check at 0816.
VANUATU. 7260, Radio Vanuatu, 0548-0559* UT, March 10. Signal fading up;
phone interview; 0554, the often heard distinctive
station's singing jingle with IDs for "Radio Vanuatu" and "Voice of Papua
New Guinea." At 0600 UT, 5040 was checked, but Cuba
still blocked the frequency.
UNID. 6300-USB, 0714+ UT, on March 10. Long conversation in French(?);
perhaps is daily here, as once before I heard the same;
at 0811, the consistent daily reciting from the Qur'an. My audio of the
language segment is at https://bit.ly/3tLjIn3 .
