** CUBA. 5040, July 8 at 0536, open carrier of S8-S9: could it be
Vanuatu? Too weak for Cuba and too strong for Van, but since there is
a JBA carrier on 7260 now, RV presumed back on that sked, and Havana
must be ailing, where something is always wrong (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** CUBA. 13638 & 13762 approx., July 8 at 1443, RHC weak spurblobs
with music in FM and F# tone above Cmiddle as usual, out of 13700-AM
which is S9/+10. But the second orders JBA circa 13826 and trace 13576
bear a lower tone of C#, never noted before. Hz equivalents are
approx. 370 & 270. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** EAST TURKISTAN. 15665, July 8 at 0528, JBA talk, listed as CRI
Russian via Urumqi at 04-06 --- a ``midnight sun`` log from the land
of ChiCom genocide against Uighurs and other Moslems (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. Level-3 tropo blob predicted over N Central OK as far as
OKC brings in some LPTVs not normally visible. My antenna is now only
the roof-mounted ch 7+ VHF/UHF permanently aimed SSE toward OKC. Back
element reflector is a bit loose but taped up. This is UT Thursday
July 8 from 0315.
RF 28, Ion 44-1 which would be Tulsa
RF 35? KUOK PSIP seen briefly but should be 36? Saved by STB? The real
KUOK in Woodward is RF 36 & virtual 36; while the OKC version, KUOK-CD
is now also on RF 36 & virtual 36. What we normally see on virtual
36-1 is really from the full-power KTUZ-29 Shawnee transmitter also
with 30-1 as competing Telemundo, and 48-1 as Estrella TV.
BAD signals on 26, 22, 21, 20, 15, 11
At 0328:
RF 35, 35-1 with credits from NFB Canada film about native matters;
FNX logo but no other explicit ID nor any on the PSIP, and into
another First Nations program. This is solid on the STB into my old
CRT TV, but on the Sanyo DTV screen, error message ``Scrambled
Program``. No, it isn`t! Both my TVs are fed by splitting feed from
same antenna. It holds up for about 15 minutes as I am tuning around.
This is obviously K35MV-D licensed to Concho OK, which is just west of
OKC, and have seen before. Non-ID is ``47.1 FNX``. Rabbitears.com say
it is ``CATV 47``, presumably where it be found on Cox cable thruout?
OKC. FNX has *368* affiliates thruout USA, mostly LP or translators
but a real PBS station KNME Albuquerque included. More info from
website linked at rabbitears:

The establishment of K47MU-D Cheyenne and Arapaho Television was made
possible by a Facilities Grant from NTIA.
C&A TV is a low power Public Broadcast TV station broadcasting from
the C&A Tribal Headquarters in Concho, OK since July 2012.
In 2018 the FCC sold C&A TV's frequency to T-Mobile and required us to
change our broadcast frequency and call letters.
We are now channel 35.1 and have the call letters K35MV-D.
K35MV-D Cheyenne and Arapaho Television – C&A TV provides 100% Native
American television programming to our viewing audience 24/7 as well
as serve our tribal members by providing local community and tribal

Oklahoma with a rich cultural viewing experience to our Native as well
as our Non-Native audience. It is our hope that we not only present
positive and inspiring images of Native Americans but also that
through cultural exposure and education, we foster a better
appreciation and understanding between Oklahoma's Non-Native and
Native communities.
OUR MISSION:
To preserve the history, language and culture of the Cheyenne and
Arapaho people and to present programming that informs, educates,
uplifts, inspires, and promotes their mental and physical well
being.
OUR VISION:
CATV47 intends to provide the best Native American programming
available in North America that will respect, honor and uplift the
Native American peoples, traditions and cultures in general and
whenever and however possible, the Cheyenne and Arapaho people
specifically.
* LANGUAGE: We will strive to preserve and promote use of the Cheyenne
and Arapaho languages by producing original language education
programming aimed at both children and
adults.
* ELDERS: We will honor and respect our tribal elders by capturing and
preserving their stories and their wisdom.
* CHILDREN AND YOUTH: We will produce Children’s programming that
promotes a positive and healthy self-image by instilling a sense of
pride in their culture and heritage. We will also produce youth
programming that will promote healthy lifestyle choices ( to remain
drug free and avoid alcohol abuse) as well as staying in school and
promoting secondary education.
* SOCIAL ISSUES INFORMATION: Provide information on resources and
tribal programs for social issues that plague the tribe like suicide,
alcohol abuse, depression, domestic and sexual abuse, drop-outs, teen
pregnancy and unemployment.
* CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING: It is our hope that through exposure to
our television programming we may foster a better understanding and
appreciation of Native American culture among the Non-Native
cultures.
We hope that C&A TV will not only continue to be a symbol of pride and
accomplishment for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes but also a source
of quality Native American information and entertainment.
