style="font-weight: bold;">This week's programme (first transmission on Saturday by Channel 292) starts with some ballet music from Poulenc, some incidental music from Fauré, and a modern hymn to the Titanic by Gavin Bryars. After that Theme from Paul Hindemith's The Four Temperaments, some more Gavin Bryars, and a sonata for recorder and basso continuo composed by eighteenth century Neapolitan Francesco Mancini. The last section of the programme has two modern pieces by contemporary acoustic ensembles and finishes with part of Schubert's String Quartet No. 13. Channel 292 can be pulled live off the internet if the reception is poor in your location. Easy to find their site with a google search.
