This
week's programme
starts with the Sussex Carol and
is followed by a piece composed by Bach for Christmas. Then there
will be some contemporary music from the American pioneer Milton
Babitt. Holst's version of In the Bleak Midwinter arranged for
cello and piano follows on.  The second part of the programme
begins with some Kurtag 'fragments' leading into a piece for Viola
by Robert Schumann, part of Handel's Messiah and finally Spiegel
im Spiegel composed by Arvo Pärt. I hope you enjoy the variety and
juxtapositions.
