This week the
programme starts with a field recording and continues with Summer
Evening Waltz by Oskar Merikanto. Then there is a recording of the tenor Richard
Tauber from the 1930s.
A Brandenburg Concerto from J
S Bach and a contemporary partita for eight voices follow on. A longish piece
next - The Isle of the Dead tone poem by Rachmaninoff, after which Katherine
Jenkins will sing us a couple of songs from the operas.
The programme ends with the
Prelude from the ballet Coppélia by Leo Delibes.
