(1988-1997 moved-in from Gloria, Portugal)

1997-2001 Playa de Pals, Spain 5 x 250 kW 419F

1981-2003 Holzkirchen, Germany 4 x 250 kW 419F

1998-2010 Kavalla, Greece 2 x 250 kW 419F
(1988-1997 moved-in from Gloria, Portugal)
(further 5x 419F donated to Voice of Greece)

USA Good news for Greenville Glenn, Greenville is getting
three new (new to us) transmitters. The removal of the original
Continental 420a Doherty 500 kW transmitter has started with GB3. The
transmitters are en route and are Continental 419F transmitters. No
date on when they will arrive as far as I know. But there is hope for
Greenville after all. More news as it comes.

Great; what station are they coming from? (Glenn to Glenn, via wor)

I think from Sri Lanka after they shut it down.

Should we assume 1180 Marathon will continue to run Radio Marti 24/7? As for
Greenville, the RM SW broadcasts are pretty much the only thing justifying
the continued operation of that facility. Didn't they just recently add to
or replace some of the older transmitters with units from the now-defunct
Iranawila site?

My thinking had been that Radio Marti on SW was probably safe for the time
being under the current president, despite attacks on its VOA cousin.

If Cuba shuts off the jammers overnight, we'll get a nice chance to hear
CFVP on 6030, if it gets back on the air.
