Happy New Year to you to Pete.
I've been using some consumer grade "over the ear" phones for several 
years, JVC HA-RX500.   Light, comfortable, good sound, seemingly 
indestructable (I'm a klutz; I'd trashed my Sennheiser phones within a year).
