While the author distinguishes between the domestic BBC and the international BBC - and specifically absolves the international organization from the ongoing kerfuffle, it's an interesting perspective nonetheless.

And I maintain that recent efforts to more closely align the WS with the domestic organization - in the name of "efficiency" - means that whatever happens to the domestic organization will certainly cause collateral damage at the World Service.
