I came across this short interview of Natasha Mitchell conducted by the Columbia Journalism Review about a year ago at a science journalism conference in London.  Natasha is a member of the ABC's (Australia) Science Unit and former host of "All in the Mind".  She currently presents the daily program "Life Matters" on ABC Radio National.  I found the interview interesting and thought readers here might as well.
