*Well-known voice in Oklahoma has died, Dave Stanton, announcer at 
 OETA and KCSC
*1710 kHz lacking full power stations but on most dials, attracts 
 pirates, and Part 15 low-power stations; some discovered in Oklahoma, 
 Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Illinois, Connecticut, also webcast
*Dr Demento, on fewer stations, suppresses webcasts, but shows on 
 subscription for $2 each; explained at http://www.drdemento.com
*CNN in USA replaces its only International hour, Your World Today at 
 1700 UT, with even more US political gab
*World of Radio at new time of Thursday 2300 on WRMI, 9955,  
 intermittently jammed; Cuban exile programs on other days at same 
 time [no jamming heard on Feb 21 check]
*WWRB starts requiring ``patriot`` programs to pay six months in 
 advance to escrow account, take insurance on WWRB`s behalf
*New York Radio, VOLMET flight weather, heard again after hiatus on SW 
 including 3485, 6604-USB
*RCI tries to muzzle 28-year staff member Wojtek Gwiazda, who is union 
 activist challenging its changed mandate from International to 
 Internal, by suspending him for three days, and threatening further

*Radio Netherlands, Spanish at 0200-0400 via Portugal abruptly changes 
 9895 to 9430 to avoid interference from Iran
*DW changes theme music in English and other languages but not German
*DW heard testing in German at 1530 on 15905, from Sri Lanka?

*The Pori, Finland, SW transmitter site has succumbed to money from

*One of V. of Turkey`s new programs, The Women of the Sultans,

*Collision in Europe on 7540 at 1600, both V. of Mesopotamia and R. 
 Pridnestrovye, from Ukraine and/or Moldova, or mixture in a single 
 transmitter?
*Iran launches Islamic radio service in English, report sorely lacking
