Mark:
I wonder what you mean when you say "anything except an Apple iPod. I
use an iPod to download spoken word and music programming from my
favorite international broadcasters for my morning exercise/walks. Of
course, I just download from a podcast list on my computer that I draw
from iTunes and the iTunes Store. If what you mean is that it's
difficult to transfer broadcasts you record yourself to the iPod, I
wouldn't know anything about that first-hand as I've never tried it.
For the record, mine is an iPod mini, the first generation that looks
like a small pack of chewing gum.
