This refers to domestic BBC output not BBC World
Service, the most interesting part of this link is the
comment at the end :) Regional TV news has low
audiences, it is not a major section, the BBC has an
extensive and effective local radio network and the
journalist really is scraping the bottom of the barrel
when going on about the costume and wigs department!
Perhaps his so-called senior BBC source is a friend or
relative who works there.
