I see the list on the archives and there were no readable
direct e-mail addresses to try to use, so I, too, am replying
via the list.

George H. W. Bush at least had close personal access to an
SW receiver.

In a photo released during his campaign, he was pictured in
his bedroom with Barbara and at least some of his children.
Clearly visible on a shelf behind the bed headboard was a
Sony 2002 digital SW receiver.

What was most amusing about this to me was that I sent
a description of this photo to Glenn Hauser for mention in
DXLD (or was it RIB at that vintage?) and he held off publishing
it until after the election in order to not give G.H.W.B. any
favorable publicity amongst the SWL community... :-)
