XM Names Board Member Davis
President and Operating Chief

In an attempt to restore investor confidence at a company whose stock
price has fallen nearly 60% this year, XM Satellite Radio Holdings
Inc. named Nate Davis president and chief operating officer.

Mr. Davis, a board member since 1999, will oversee marketing, retail
and automotive, finance, engineering and technology, customer service,
information technology and human resources. He will report to Chief
Executive Hugh Panero, who will continue to oversee programming,
advertising sales, business and legal affairs, and corporate
communications.

Mr. Davis is taking on some of the duties of Mr. Panero, who
previously held the president's post. The company had no operating
chief.
