[Swprograms] The Sirius CBC R1 schedule...so far...

Sirius channel #137

CBC Radio One

Weekdays (except 0000-0900, which is likely UTC Tuesdays-Saturdays)
unless otherwise indicated.

0006 - Ideas
0106 - Arts Tonight, Between the Covers
0230 - As It Happens
0330 - Dispatches (Fri)
0506 - Ideas
0806 - C'est La Vie (Fri)
1006 - Freestyle
1106 - Writers & Company (Thu); Roots and Wings (Sat)
1200 - World Report
1213 - Business Network - "BizNet"
1227 - Arts Report
1230 - Sports
1234 - 1237 Spinoff (pre-election satire)

(The whole 1213-1237 interval is hosted with Sirius-specific
announcing -- this is programming that normally appears in local
morning programs).

1237 - Current
1307 - Current
1407 - Sounds Like Canada
1530 - National Playlist
1600 - World Report
1613 - The Current (promo said "1105 ET")
1706 - Freestyle
1806 - Freestyle
1906 - Writers & Company (same show as airing this coming Saturday)
2006 - Ideas (same show as airing this coming evening on air)
2106 - Talking Books (Thu); C'est La Vie (Fri)
2130 - O'Reilly on Advertising (Thu)
2200 - The World At Six
2230 - As It Happens
2330 - Dispatches (thu)

The basic pattern is that the Atlantic and Pacific time zone feeds
provide the daily material, except for "Freestyle", which is one hour
ahead of Atlantic Time.

A promo has The Sunday Edition from 1200-1500 and 1700-2000 UTC; the
1200 UT start time doesn't look right, if they're using the Atlantic
feed; 1300-1600 would make more sense. We'll see...

Many thanks to Kevin Kelly for filling in a large chunk of the schedule.

His Public Radio Fan website already has this part of the schedule
uploaded; see http://www.publicradiofan.com/cgi-bin/station.pl?stationid=4746.
This is not complete, in part because some of the weekday programming
consists of repeats of weekly program, and the entire cycle hasn't yet
played out.

On-air promos say the schedule will be available at
http://cbc.ca/sirius, but that web page is not yet active.

Also, it appears, so far, that the CBC programming offered on PRI
World (Ideas, AIH, others) remains in place. Nothing has been missing
yet.

FWIW, audio quality of Channel #137 is slightly better than PRI World
(Channel #136), which seems to have more bass than it should.
