The comments in Glen's latest Digest on the BBC Charter are interesting. 

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that BBCWS is dieing by inches and will soon be gone.  I know times change but it saddens me that BBCWS will probably be gone completely from shortwave soon. I bought my first short wave radio almost 30 years ago because I wanted to listen to BBC.

Reception of WS in this part of the world has been very poor of late.  Even the frequencies for the Americas have been weak with other signals nearly non existent.
