[Swprograms] Jan Nowak-Jezioranski dead at 91

Jan Nowak-Jezioranski (born  Zdislaw Jezioranski on May 13, 1913), who
risked life and limb during WWII to smuggle news from Poland to
England, died in a Warsaw hospital at 91.

After the war, he worked first for the BBC and, for 20 years, for
Radio Free Europe.

After his retirement from RFE in 1976, he spent almost 20 years as
national director of the Polish American Congress, and was a
consultant to the National Security Council. After the fall of the
Communist government in Warsaw, he lobbied for the entrance of Poland
to NATO.
