AFTERNOONS with Peter Goers, includes "Thank God Its Christmas" - based on Richard Glover's very successful "Thank God Its Friday" panels on ABC Radio. Recorded before a live audience at the Bowral of Laughs Comedy Festival in Bowral NSW, the panel (comedians Tommy Dean, Moya Sayer Jones and Anthony Ackroyd) takes a fun look back over the year that was and what Christmas means to them. CYCLONE TRACEY MEMORIAL PROGRAM - Christmas Day 1974 was not such a happy day for the people of Darwin. It is 30 years this year since Cyclone Tracy swept across the city destroying not only Christmas, but much of the city as well. It stands as an historic moment not only for Darwin, but also for the nation. This documentary talks to survivors and examines the impact of the disaster through contemporary accounts, archival tapes, and the music and culture of the time.

EVENINGS with John Cleary, includes a special Christmas Concert (0905-1000) called Symphony of Angels, featuring the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and hosted by ABC Local Radio's Virginia Trioli. (to 1100)
