Hi all,

The Daily Express carried Part 1 of an abridged version of "The John Peel
Story", written by Michael Heatley, on Saturday.  Part one covered his
childhood, school days and his National Service in the army and concludes
with romance relationships and marriages.  Radio London received one brief
mention as did The Perfumed Garden.  Part 2 is scheduled to be published in
Monday's Express and is subtitled 'The disaster that haunted him for the
rest of his life'.
