In doing some research on the VOA site, I note that the VOA frequency schedule has shortwave coverage available virtually 24/7. There are far fewer frequencies than has been the case historically; and VOA News Now broadcasts, in most cases, to just one region of the world at a time. Nonetheless, there had been reports that the VOA would be reducing its broadcast day to as little as eleven or fewer hours a day during the B04 season. Does that mean that the protests registered over those previously reported plans have had a measure of success? John Figliozzi Halfmoon, NY
Just got a note from Kim Elliott -- he hosted today's "Talk To America",
interviewing Richard Sambrook, who now heads up the BBC World Service,
succeeding Mark Byford (who was kicked upstairs).
Unfortunately I don't see any links to "on-demand" audio for TTA...if Kim
points one out to me I'll pass it on.
Sorry this came late.
