o Former BBC Director-General Dyke to Join Apax as Advisor

London -- Apax Partners announced on Monday that Greg Dyke, the
former director-general of the BBC, has agreed to join the private
equity firm as part-time advisor for its media team. In recent years,
Apax Partners has been linked with a series of large media deals --
including high-profile bids for ITV, Trinity Mirror and the Telegraph
Group. Dyke resigned from the BBC earlier this year after the fallout of
Lord Hutton's investigation into the death of David Kelly, a British
weapons advisor to the U.K. government. Apax is currently marketing
its latest European fund, with a target of more than $5 billion.
