century old Goons shows on BBC7 (which has no news) or the Proms on
Radio 3 will not be cut off because of the Olympics.

It still provides one of the arguments against the cutting off
shortwave to technologically advanced regions because of the
availability of internet streaming and local rebroadcasters. (Would
local rebroadcasting be cut off? I guess I have to be listen 00-0600
local if I want to find out how the Olympics affects local
rebroadcasting of BBCWS.)
