Hi folks,
name is Ken Baird, a retired Telecom engineer. Used to specialise in switch
planning, design and implementation as well as the same for the inter switch
links. Got interested in SW many years ago and have had a variety of
receivers from roll-your-own to a Kenwood R5000. At present I have the
R5000, a Palstar R30, two Sangean ATS 909's with a SW Eavesdropper
multi-trap dipole and a 17m wire.
Mainly interested in SWL although do some Tropical band DX. I am the editor
of the Below 9 MHz Bandwatch section of the NZ DX Times
Heard about the group through Hard-core-dx, a site that I visit regularly.
Looking forward to info from the group and hope I will be able to contribute
something of value.
