[Swlfest] Can't make it to Kulpsville/Phila. Flower Show

Hi folks,

I am very disappointed that I won't be able to make it to the fest this year, 
after having attended for so many years.   Often, when someone asks me what 
I'm doing on such-and-such a date, I reply "Nothing, unless someone pays me to 
be elsewhere".  Well, in this case, someone *is* paying me quite well to be 
elsewhere:   I and my trio will be performing for 8 days at the Philadelphia 
Flower Show 6-13 March, and won't be finished til after 8pm each day.   In case 
any of you are spending time in downtown Philly before or after the fest, I am 
putting details below.

Anyway, the only way I could attend the fest would be just briefly, if I can 
bum a car or ride out to Kulpsville late Sat. night to have a beer with 
everyone.  But that probably won't work out, so I'm sorry that I'll miss seeing you 
all.   Have a great and productive time!

This is held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Center City 
Philadelphia, run by the PA Horticultural Society.  It's a real big deal, and somewhat 
pricey, but if you really love flowers, or get off on inhaling pollen, perhaps 
you'll want to come.

I and my trio will be performing country/bluegrass music at the following 
times(6-13 March):

Sun. Mar. 6  1230, 1400, 1600   (flower show closes 1800)
Mon-Sat.    1400  1600  1730  1930   (flower show closes 2130)
Sun. Mar. 13    1200  1330  1500  (flower show closes 1800)
[above sets 20-30 mins. each;   all times in EST]

These, I am told, will be at the "Suburban Soiree" stage, a faux 
house/porch/garden setup on the main floor of the flower show.  I'm sure you'd have no 
trouble hearing the music (talk-in on audio frequencies, 20 Hz +).

Except when I am on stage, I will have my cellphone(215-356-2136) turned on, 
and hope that I get reception inside the Convention Center, so give me a call 
if you are coming or have come, so I can look for you.
