This past year saw Southwest Airlines' arrival in Philadelphia, which
generally drove down domestic fares there.
USAirways remains the largest airline serving Philly, but Southwest has
deeply impaired USAirways' ability to compete. There is a real possibility
USAirways might cease flying by the time the Fest rolls around.
The following URL leads to recently updated information regarding other
airlines' requirements when it comes to transporting passengers should an
airline cease flying. You may wish to research USAirways' status before
making any final reservation decisions.
